Product Description:

Prarambh is a manually operated delivery solution for labour, delivery and recovery phases with provision for height, backrest & Trendelenburg/Reverse Trendelenburg adjustment. It caters to demands of various stages of the birthing process. Thoughtfully designed, the bed provides support for the mothers and facilitates efficient functionality for nursing staff.

Its flexibility and ease-of-use offers a practical, cost-effective solution that ensures delivery procedures are not being hindered by shortage of power supply as the entire bed is manually operational offering comfort in professionally managed hospital/delivery rooms.

Prarambh comes with manually operated Backrest on a Gas-lift, Height adjustability with a Hydraulic Pedal whereas the Trendelenburg/Reverse Trendelenburg are operated through a crank to enable caregivers to quickly respond to the woman’s constantly changing health conditions during the procedure. Further, the Bed, with its versatile design that includes 360-degree adjustable calf rest, handgrip with a locking range for varied accessibility, etc is equipped to accommodate a multitude of birthing positions, while ensuring safety and ease of always shifting across positions.

• During childbirth, ensuring the mother is always comfortable, and caregivers can support her needs efficiently is key for a smooth and safe delivery.

• Prarambh comes with manually operated Backrest, Height and TR/ATR to enable caregivers to quickly respond to the woman’s constantly changing health conditions during the procedure.

• The bed includes accessories on offer such as calf rest, handgrip, etc that are equipped to accommodate a multitude of birthing positions, while ensuring safety and ease of shifting across positions.


  1. Caregiver efficiency

• 360-degree adjustable Calf supports: The cushioned calf-supports are adjustable, allowing the mother to shift into a comfortable position. The cushioning ensures the calves remain well supported at all times

• Hand Grips: A pair of hand grips with provision for range locking is for the mother to hold onto. This gives her a greater sense of safety and control. The range of motion ensures, mothers of varying heights shall be able to access the hand grip for support during the delivery procedure.


  1. Caregiver Focus

• Sliding/Retractable Leg rests: The sliding feature allows for quick conversion from normal bed to delivery table. Further, the retractable leg rests get locked when in extended position for safety. The design of the leg rest also keeps the caregivers safe and minimises any chances of aberration that may be caused while handling the leg rest.

  1. Fall Prevention

• 3/4th coverage SS 304 safety side siderails provide increased patient safety and reduce chances of patient fall with Collapsible mechanism.

    Hygiene is a key concern around new-borns and mothers recovering from labour and delivery. Prarambh’ superstructure is entirely made of stainless steel which ensure that it has anti-microbial properties and, is designed for easy cleaning and minimizing infections. Prarambh LDR bed with the following features helps in controlling the bacterial exposure to the patient:


    • 10 Litre capacity SS-304 make fluid bowl facilitates easy collection of birth fluids, ensuring high standards of hygiene.

    • Headboard and Siderails comes with antimicrobial property reducing the incidences of Hospital Acquired Infections.

    • Removable Headboard for easy maintenance of the bed.

    Prarambh LDR Bed is functionally ideal for Government Birthing Centres and Maternity Care Centres where the frequency of birthing procedures is quite high on a regular basis.

    It is therefore suitable for Labour rooms/Obstetrics facilities in State Government Hospitals and 30-100 bedded private hospitals. It may also be suitable for Government owned Birthing centres which seek to provide a satisfactory level of patient care.
